Wanna buy a PID ?

Featured Replies

Seems a bargain, they cost over double that new.

I thought PID was linked to one vehicle only and the useless on all others?

If it's been actvated, yes.

I can't really see that myself. I registered mine but it didn't ask for any vehicle details, and any trip mileage stuff resets itself after it's been off the car a while. All the other stuff like sat nav and phone/media settings are just like my free standing Garmin unit.

I could be wrong on this though. Anybody?

You won't have been asked as would have linked autonatically on first fit and then that's that. So I was told by my dealer anyway.

Would be interesting to see if it would work, maybe a owner trying theirs in another's car?

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

We have two Citigo's and one PID.

The PID does work in the other car but the car info doesn't, only the nav and radio functions, not trip computer, rev counter and so on.

So it must be linked to the car then.

Perhaps the seller doesn't realise.

Wonder if there's a way to do a hard reset on it to wipe the bonding between the car.

Skoda customer services say the dealer can reset the PID
