Egr Cleaning

Featured Replies

Hi

I was thinking about having a go at cleaning my egr valve is this easy enough to do ?

And if so how would i go about it ?

Car is 2007 superb 1.9td (BPZ) any help much appreciated

Hello, It's not a difficult job. If you go to the myturbodiesel.com website en look for maintenance passat 2005 you can see instruction and pictures how to remove it.

Soot is difficult to clean, for example not possible with just brake cleaner. You need Valvoline EGR and turbo cleaner. It's not expense and you really clean it well.

I have bought this myself but am wondering that if its meant to clean the turbo swell, the Valvoline EGR+turbo, then do you really have to remove the egr from the car to this ?
