That won't go in a Fabia II based on those pictures mate, that is the same shape as the Mk 2 Octavia's head unit, the Fabia II is the same shape as the Superb II.

i dont mind at all

i have after getting the manual octavia II had my knee swell up as i have an old issue with my left leg

i have part exed the Octavia in for a DSG Superb and this wont fit

if you are close you can come and fit it here and make sure it works before paying if you like

when the guy fitted it to my Octavia he popped off the drivers side door pillar trim and put the mic on there and also hid the gps antenna under there it took him 5 mins to fit both although he has done it a fair few times i expect

both the mic and gps ariels fit in the rear of the units

he then took the centre dash tray out (above the air vents) and drilled a hole for the internet dongle wire and the usb wire to sit so they could be out of sight

it worked straight out of the box so yes i would say it is plug and play

there is some instructions where to go for updates of the maps etc but i suppose it would cost?

if it is an Octavia II then yes as i had it in an octavia II

best way is to measure yours across the top then the bottom and then the top to bottom

i believe the sizes are

258mm across the top

241mm across the bottom

125mm top to bottom

i dont think it will interface with Maxidot

also i dont think it is full 7 digit postcode iirc it is 5 digit then name the road ie:- AB12 3 etc etc i never tried it as i didnt get the chance although the guy who fitted it put my home address is
