Featured Replies

Any ideas? Would like passenger to be able to at least watch dvd's whilst on the move, but would like TV as well - the ones I have seen seem like an awful lot of dosh.....

Thanks

Oh - I have a Columbus head unit; do the various hacks etc achieve anything useful if I do not want to move the unit to a new car etc??

Option 1: buy an extra box to plug on to the back of the Columbus and 'stream' DVD's to rear screen monitors;

Option 2: Enable 'Video In Motion' via a software hack or firmware update.

Option 3: Buy a TV tuner & aerial to plug into the Comumbus which will probably hardware override the VIM.

Option 4: a combination of the above.

Just to point out the obvious, if the driver can see the TV/DVD screen whilst driving, it is a distraction and could be dangerous if not illegal.

I uses Kufatec video interface and cheapy camping 12v freeview tuner and works fine and I get VIM.
