Triple QX 5w40 PD oil

Featured Replies

I'm going to be doing an oil change on the Fabia and I came across this fully synthetic Triple QX stuff on ECP, blended in the UK. it states clearly that it's for use in PD engines and meets the VW 505 01 spec.

5L can be had for £23.24 by entering promo code PARTS25 at checkout.

If it meets the requirements then it should more than up to the job?

I've used this oil for my last two oil changes and it's fine.

I've seen a few rumours on various forums that it's blended from Shell base stocks. Might give it a try.

Also meets the requirements of BMW longlife servicing LL-04 spec

I used this stuff on the last change.

Used the promo code for 30% off and oil and filter cost £24 I think.

Yep I got the same deal. Still haven't gotten round to doing the fitting and filling mind. Figured at that price was too good to not get.

Good stuff, a few of you are using this oil in your motors and no bad reviews so far. I've ordered myself a bottle :)

Yup. Seems fine to me.

Just come back from a 1500 mile trip to Germany and the engine ran sweet as a nut and gave us 61mpg with cruise at 70mph (with A LOT of camping gear).

I'll treat it to a fresh oil & filter change after passing 140k this afternoon :)

Only about £18-£19 for 5L Quantum Platinum from TPS. ;) You do have to know a garage with an account there, and then pay cash, to get the trade price. Not a problem for me though. :D
