Defect folding mirrors

Recommended Posts

Hi! My superb 03 has gotten an issue with the mirrors. In the summertime I normally fold in the mirrors when parking in public places, and so I did last monday. But when I turned the knob over to fold out the mirrors again nothing happened, nothing at all. Eventually I went outside and folded out the mirrors manually, but I can feel that they arent locked in position, as they tend to misposition if i drive in windy conditions. I can adjust the mirrors, the heat in them is functional, even the backing-function and the entrance-lightning is OK.

Any ideas for what could be the fault anyone ? =)

If there excists any schematics for opening the mirrors and the components inside maybe I could use that =)

I had a similar problem when my battery was on its way out.

I say when the battery was on its way out it was the day before the battery died!

The weirdest thing happened this monday! My car had been parked in the garage for the weekend, and guess what: I couldn't fire it up monday morning :p Had to get jumper-cables and kick-start the battery with my 68 Amazon...

Charged the battery the following night, and the next morning the folding mirrors was working again.. Case closed
