My Furby never smokes!

Featured Replies

I never seem to get those puffs of black smoke most diesels spew out on WOT. I only get a bit of a blast when first starting the car from cold.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Healthy engine or something not quite right?

I'm perhaps guilty of grannying the car a bit, has my car just got too used to my light right foot? It still seems to pull fine.

Sorry double post, mods, please delete.

Give it a good ol' rev ;)

Give it a good thrashing to clear it out ;)

Mine has hardly any smoke when I boot it, and on a power run it maxed at 125.7hp when it should be 105. What that tells me is less smoke means the engine is converting more of the diesel into lovely POWERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ;)

less smoke, more poke!

Until 4th gear my 202bhp Fabia doesnt smoke either (or that I can see)

Mine hardly smokes either, standard BLT but always ran on BP ultimate heavy oil ;-)

Only time it does is when I boot it after miles of Eco driving.

Same here. Can barely see anything normally then after driving gently for a while or a long motorway cruise if I boot it there is fair cloud comes out the back.

Luckily in my case it doesn't end up all over the back of the car and gets blasted at the tarmac.

Mine never used to be sooty or smoky as standard but since I've got a shark map I always find the rear of the car is covered in black dots It's so annoying :(
