Help water leak through the headlining!

Featured Replies

I've got water dripping in through the front drivers corner of the head lining the whole corner is damp.

Any ideas where it could be getting in?

I squeezed the sunroof drain tube and lots drained out so panic over fingers crossed!

blocked / disconnected sunroof drain. There are 4 - two to the front wheelarches and two to the rear. The front one exits in the door hinge area - a pointy rubber nipple that if you squeeze a little you may see water gush out. You need to work out if it is blocked or disconnected. It has been covered before in the forum - search for sunroof.

Yeah I'm going to push a little cable up the front ones tonight. Any idea where the rears exit?

I believe the rear wheelarch.

The easy (though if blocked a little messy) way to test is to use a small cup of water and pour it in each of the four corners of the open sunroof (slowly and carefully!!!) I did mine to check they were all clear and they were. Probably better to see if they run first before sticking cables up them - I understand the couplings are quite easy to disconnect and then a pain to re-connect.

Some people cut off the closing part of the nipples to stop them getting stuck - I think the two rubber parts just end up sticking together. I think equally squeezing them every few weeks is probably enough to keep them free running.
