Had a chuckle yesterday

Featured Replies

Driving home from work, end up behind a fellow Yeti I then noticed the badge on the back and had to have a bit of a laugh, badge was similar to below image akin to something you may get in Halfords.

Yeti was only a 1.2 TSI S model so why pretend you have a 4x4 when you don't? Guess it will be an even bigger laugh when their apparent 4x4 gets stuck somewhere.

Why do people do this?

De-badging is cooler-unless you do what I saw someone had done with a small merc sports, SLK, with AMG wheels and where he'd taken the "200" badging off to attempt to complete the illusion the outline was still visible on the paint!

Mine is the opposite, just has the yeti badge on the back, looks like a 1.2.

I knew someone with a C55 that he'd rebadged as a C180. :D

The exhausts were a bit of a giveaway if you knew what you were looking for.

I frequent a BMW 1 Series forum, where there is much mirth and ridicule of people who stick ///M badges on their 118D/120i etc. There is a trim level called "M-Sport" (which adds a bodykit, lower springs and various cosmetic touches) and people think this justifies them displaying the 'M' model badge on the boot.

There used to be as chap at work who owned a Focus RS Cosworth, that was until he left work and drove along the road.

You could hear the little 1.1litre engine SCREAMING its guts out to pull away :D

I believe there are several genuine old BMW M3s about with 318i badges on the back.
