Request for help - Battery change

Featured Replies

New member with a request for help here. The battery on our 2002 1.4 Mpi has just died and I want to take it off to the garage tomorrow to get it recharged. Our other car is going in for a service so I thought I would just whip it out and take it along. However, I am stumped on how to actually get the battery out. The manula just recommend I leave it to the dealer and I can't find any guidance elsewhere on line.

Can anyone make any helpful suggestions?

Cheers

Mike

All you need to do is undo the battery terminals and the 13mm bolt down the front. Flip up the top lid and lift the battery out. But usually things will need resetting with diagnostic equipment anyhow once its been disconnected so why not take the car down there, or buy a battery charger?
