Does anyone have these and do they work?

I came accross some Octavia mk1 heated washer jets on the internet being sold by a skoda dealer. With a little wiring these could be fitted quite easily but wondered how effective they were.

I was looking at fitting some, but never got around to it. Someone else has fitted them though....

I've got some fitted to my old car (non Skoda) which are wired into the heated front screen and they do work. As the exposed area is great compared to the volume within the jets you'll need a high concentration of screenwash to prevent freezing in non heated jets.

The heater element in mine is a small resistive disc that is up against a small metal block.
