Few tarty up things done to my Vrs

Featured Replies

I brought this Fabia just over a month ago from a fellow Briskodian, needed tarting up I think at the front end, nothing new, just the usual tart ups

Gave the sub box a lick of paint and cut it in half, it was taking up too much space in the boot! Now I have done it I don't like the colour, god knows why I did it in the first place

that about it for now. I tried to carbon the rear spoiler...disaster!! enough said on that

Looking good. You should do the splitter in carbon wrap too :)

thanks,Well i have thought about it, didn't want carbon overkill. But i still have some, so i might just do still.

Nice one Superdan

Cheers, I think I will do the side pillars either in carbon or gloss black too, eventually attempt the spoiler when I am better at wrapping and maybe the splitter too....who knows, at least its very easy to remove if/when things go wrong

Where did you get the carbon film from ? Any links ?

21quid for a 2x1.5m roll. I don't know if it is great quality as i have nothing to compare it too, but it seemed good enough to me. Came well packed however, he used standard royal mail which took nearly three weeks and some communication via ebay to get it, so order it and pay for better delivery.

I have never used it before so didn't know any tricks to using it, so, look it up and practice on something. I hair dryer works miracles!

Good skills with the wrapping mate! Looks spot on

looks champion  , sets it off and its your first go, keep it going.

It looks like proper Di Noc vinyl to me. The 'grid' on the rear is there to allow stretching

to go around curves.

If it's made by 3M then you're laughing as it's almost certainly the pukka stuff and that's

a good price for that much of it. Certainly looks like it to me. I had some on my grille

for a year and a bit and it never got so much as a stonechip. Pretty durable vinyl.

The photos make it look better than it is, i made a few stupid errors and creases but i can live with it.thanks for the compliments :-)

Daniel,

Did you buy your car from someone called Dan, I swear I recognise the reg...

Nathan boyn i think it was, on here as the boyn, i think

The B pillars a re a right **** to do mate! If I were you then I'd do them matte black or carbon. The gloss doesn't really go with the window rubbers etc. my theme is red and gloss black but I did mine matte black as it looks factory finish :)

Spoiler?... Creases on the underside, right?

  • Author

Oh, i thought the pillar would be easy ish. And yeah, the spoiler just creased everywhere. I was tired too and just got pi%sed off doing it
