Removing front wing?

Featured Replies

I've just noticed that the paint is bubbling quite badly at the bottom of the front wings. I think it's with the car having mudflaps all it's life, and collecting sh*te behind them. How easy are the front wings to get off? I reckon it will be easier to take the wing off and paint them separately, rather than trying to do them on the car. I've had a look behind the arch liner and the paint has flaked off on the inside too.

Easy...

Top wing bolts,

open door.. 2 inside

1 behind bumper

done!

Isn't it held on at the bottom? I thought it was seam welded down there? I need to have a proper look.

make sure you keep notice of the bolts too as there all different sizes.

Nice one!

Just a quick question - Which bolt is it on the sill? On mine there's what appears to be a recessed square bolt with a square socket-head going upwards through the sill, and there's also a smaller diameter bolt going horizontally through the crimped part of the sill.

I don't want to end up getting all the other bolts off then getting stuck with the bottom one!

Cheers,

Rick.
