Service Due Display

Featured Replies

Just have a question about the Skoda Superb Maxidot display.

When the service is coming up, according to the manual, the display starts to countdown from 1500km and then at 100km intervals.

If you have a Maxidot with mph speedo, can you please advise what figure the countdown starts at and what the countdown interval is as well.

:hi:

Also interested in how long the "SERVICE ..." message is visible when you start the car.

If you turn the ignition on, but do not start the car - how long does it display? Is it 20 seconds?

More importantly, how long is the "SERVICE ..." message displayed if you turn ignition on and actually start the car?

Is it only 2 seconds?

Very interested to find out this time.

I have found a couple of bytes in the cluster eeprom that might alter the distance/time displays.

From memory, the closer you are to the service the longer it displays the message for.

Starts from 1500 miles I believe. Always audible beep at key on. Count down in 100 mile steps. Then goes service now and stays lit for a few seconds not sure how long, will check tomorrow as it's been beeping away for a few weeks now :-(.

But running on Mobil ESP long life oil but cluster thinks it's normal oil so not too bothered if it does 11-12k miles instead of 10k.

Hi, thank you very much for reply.

For some reason I did not receive a notification of your post.

Did you perhaps observe the actual time for the display warning?
