Help 2 turbo oil feed pipes split

Featured Replies

Hi i have been having trouble with my octavia 1.9 tdi.

Turbo went which was replaced by a recon unit which failed due to fins being bent by foreign object. My next issue was turbo oil feed pipe split i replaced this with a replacement not a skoda part but this has now started leaking oil after about 2 months is this down to dodgy parts or is there something wrong with turbo unit any help appreciated.

Thanks Rich

Hi all my troubles with this car seem to have started since i had my timing belt replaced is this just a coincidence? as ive read a few bits online saying timing can cause turbo related problems is this true as i,m at a loss and this car is bankrupting me slowly. Is it expensive to get the timing checked.

Poor timing is unlikely to affect the turbo, imho. more likely to cause reduced performance / worse mpgs.

Where is the feed pipe leaking?

Hi,Its leaking right where it goes into the filter housing seems to be coming from a joint on the pipe and not the connection. The last pipe split in exactly the same place i,m wondering whether its a poor quality pipe or is something causing it to fail ie too much pressure
