Hi, I'm looking at tinting my headlights.

Firstly, is it illegal to tint them?

Secondly, can anyone suggest some good kits/products to apply it easily but also get a decent finish?

If you're going to do it then use lamin x.

Anything else just looks a bit naff, no darker than light smoke either.

Some MOT testers may fail you if the light output is significantly reduced.

I'd uprate the bulbs at the same time if it was me to compensate for potential

light loss.

I did use fly eyes and looked good just walking past but abit odd up close. I have now removed it as it started tearing. I am now going to paint the insides and use a light shade of lamin x as i have seen it done and it looks spot on.

Completely agree.... Saw someone with flyeye stuff at Coombe last year and didn't like it up close.

Subtle tint is what I used as minimum light output loss.... As grr666 has said worth upgrading your bulbs as you will notice a difference even with the lightest tint

Yeah I missed this year Coombe Cos of my sisters wedding... How selfish of her to have it on THAT weekend!!
