Just had the car a couple of weeks and has been driving 100%. Until earlier i stopped to fill up wif petrol and car wouldnt turn over. Turn the key and nothin happens. I got a push and it started. Drive it round a while and stopped it wen i got home. Thing still wont turn over :( dash lights all on but wen turn the key nothin happens. Any suggestions as to wot it could be? Could starter b knackerd? Cheers

Starter motor, alternator not charging or battery goosed.

Sorted. Took starter out and put starter of my 1.8t mk4 golf in and it worked. On closer inspection the braided wire that runs from solinoid to starter had rotted and broke. Hard to see as it looked ok. So new starter gettin purchased tomorro.
