hi guys i have looked at a few previous posts but i could not find one with the same problem

my problem is my fabia ticks over at 1000 rpm and seems a little high its not irratic is there a way i can take this myself down to say 825-850 rpm or is that too low i dont have a lot of experience although i do know my way around an engine im limited for tools and tech gizmos thank you for looking at my question from a newbie

It will shake itself to pieces at those lower revs. 950 to 1000 is right and dropping the idle speed won't make a real difference to economy, so best advice is do nothing..

1000rpm is slightly too high. Should be around 900rpm.

No idea what controls the idle on the SDI though.
