2010 vRS shock absorbers

Featured Replies

I know many of you vRS users have upgraded your shocks but for those who have not you might want to check this. I have just had both front ones changed under warranty because of leakage and the service rep at the dealer said they had seen quite a few. Worth having a good look.

Came as a bit of a bonus for me as I had done nearly 60,000 miles and yet now have brand new shocks.

That is a bit of a bonus as the useful life of a shock is about 40k miles (give or take depending on use). Most cars above that kinda mileage have goosed shocks but as its quite a slow degradation most people don't notice until they have had them replaced. Then it becomes obvious how knackered they really were.

I have an RS Tdi taxi thats done 69000 miles........i've had two sets of shockers replaced under warranty so far !
