Blackvue tablet PC

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just seen that blackvue have a tablet PC out. It's got the android 4.0 O/S, so I have taken the plunge and purchased one.

Will let you know how I get on with it :-)

Any more details, or a link? :)

Will get a link when I'm back on my laptop. Was a good price and has a discount at the moment too :-)

Identical spec to my cheap ebay Android tablet but with more memory (got a 16gb card in it anyway).

It's a decent chipset and seems to handle all my games and videos just fine.

CPU a little sluggish from time to time.

Not sure what's going off with the pictures, but I'm 99% sure that's the Blackberry Playbook OS that's pictured. I guess it's a poorly edited stock photo or something :)

^^ Agreed - as an owner of a Playbook, the layout is way too familiar, even the location of the time, settings logo, ribbon at the bottom

It's the single core issue I suppose. Seems to cause an issue with Android 4.x in my experience.

Wonder when cheaper dual/quad CPU models will appear? Spotted any yet Phil? :)

Yeh. Overclocking to just over 1GHz seems to have helped somewhat. Other than that it's a cracking little tablet for £50!

Not looked for any dual/quad core ones tbh. They're probably already available but haven't looked.

Thought I'd update this. My tablet has arrived. I got an email before it was delivered and was advised that it had a spec upgrade :-) the ram had doubled to 1gb amongst a couple of other bits and I didn't have to pay any extra :-) the tablet value is £89.99 and I got it and the keyboard/ case for £83 all in.

The tablet screen is clear and easy to use, the tiles are layed out in a similar way to windows 8. The Internet works quickly with my broadband and displays all websites, only suffering a tiny bit of slowdown of web banners. Overall I am very impressed for the money paid :-)

What was that £50 one? A link perhaps?
