Can the MAF be tested? (TFSI)

Featured Replies

Is there a way to test if the MAF on my TFSI is working properly? My tuner has asked me if it has ever been changed - supposedly it could give me lower mpg and better power delivery... But given the price of a new one, it could be nice if someone knows if it can be tested?

Thanks in advance

You can track it on VCDS and work out if it's following the correct path or crazy.

Yes it can using VCDS provided you have no intake leaks it should be reading 80% of the rated BHP in milligrammes per second screaming it under full load. Mine idles rough almost misfiring ive put it down to the MAF the readings were down and it settles down when I unplug it.
