Which one of these would I need?

Featured Replies

Looking to fit an aux input to my Stream (not MP3) head unit, I don't care that I will use the use of the CD changer, as with the aux input I'll be able to play music off my phone.

Looking at these on eBay, and both seem to do the job.

But there is a big price difference between the two, will either one work?

I was leaning towards the more expensive one, and is there anywhere I could go buy one today rather than wait for delivery?

Cheers

Got bored of waiting for an answer lol, so I've ordered the more expensive one.

If it works, I'll do a how2/write up.

Hopefully help others

Don't know what happened, but I'm sure I responded to this thread and suggested you get the OEM MDI unit instead!

Less than 24 hours from your original post and you've caved in and bought one...

I didn't think the non-MP3 Stream would do Aux-in. :|

I don't want to go down factory fit mdi route, I just want an aux input I can have up near the corner of the windscreen by the driver, so will see what I can do with this

I wasn't 100% sure either mate, but looking at other threads on here I couldn't find a definitive answer.

As far as I can see it should work as it just replaces the cd changer input.

If not, I'm sure I'll be able to sort something out with it.

Pretty sure the non-MP3 Stream units won't do Aux input hence the reasonable used market for MP3 versions.

If you search for "Connects2" you'll find loads of stuff.

Anyway, that one you've ordered will work, and does indeed use the CD-changer socket.

Here's some pics from when I fitted mine:
