Heated seat 'beep'

Featured Replies

Today as I set the heated seat from 3 to 2 I thought I heard a faint beep. I have never heard anything like this before and I dismissed it as being on the radio or something. However, a few seconds later my wife also set her her seat from 3 to 2 and the same beep emanated. I just assumed it must always have done that quietly and I had missed it.

However later on today I had to go out again and so I tested the heated seats and got no beeps at all, however I set the seats; this is how I had always assumed they worked.

Does anyone else get a beep?

Nope - never a beep, of any strength or faintness!!

I can assure you my heated seats are beep free(and nice and warm!).

Possibly your colon tube is beginning to beep instead of...... ? Maybe its the heat to blame...lol.

Just a joke ,please dont be offended.

Does mentioning a "bottom burp" deserve the corner?

Never had it on mine and I'd be surprised if the seat heat control had an audible function for any reason... Is it all possible that it was something else, dash warning related perhaps, that occured at the same time?

It seems that there is usually space there nowadays, sadly.

I wonder whether it was the 4* "ding"?

And Oriki, careful or you're in the Norty Bob Corner!

Don't worry Oriki, Graham could beat you to it

It was a beep sound I hadn't heard before; definitely a brief, soft 'beep' rather than a 'bong' or chime. I have been using the heaters extensively over the last few days and not heard it again.
