I am picking up my new car this Wednesday, its a 2 year old 1.6CR TDI Elegance and i know its due a service, so just so i don't make a mistake, just what is the best and most suitable oil for the old (well young) girl ?

I would have thought oil to VW 507 spec, it won't be on extended service intervals, but you'll need a low ash oil if a DPF is fitted.

What equivalent is that?

For example 10/40...

2 years old won't be on variable as said, that's 2013 MY on.

Would Quantum 5w/40 fully synthetic be ok??

Reason I ask is I have 15 litres of the stuff left over from my old vRS.

No. Not suitable for DPF
