Scrapping a Skoda

Featured Replies

So the Superb has been financially written off. Engine has a compression issue and the engine needs an overhaul.

So car is currently sitting in a dealer car park.

As I have never had to arrange a scrap before, what is the best option?

Is there a company that will pick it up and give me a bit of cash ta boot?

get it back to your gaf mate, if you can get a A-Frame or a car trailer and brake it yourself, scrap merchants try to give you as little as possible and make as much as they can

get it home and sell us superb owners parts off it, what trim level is it?

Don't suppose it has a set of 17 inch Skoda alloys

I scrapped a B5 Passat with a fubarred 20VT in it about 5 years ago and was surprised how much money I made out of it. If you've got space, do it - I'd do it again as I quite enjoyed meeting like minded people and doing a good turn.

Then I got the local scrappy to pick up a shell with a pile of oily sodden bits in it :giggle:

Gaz

As above, A complete car is usually picked up and you get £150 cash (roughly) but taking it home and getting bits and pieces off it first will net a bit more in the long run, then you might still get £120+ if the running gear is still in it (scrap merchants only care about the weight)

Strip it! What spec level is it.

I need new Xenon headlights!

I just don't have the space to have a car sitting there. It is a very high spec ie. Elegance with full leather.

Anyone on here wanna offer me a price to take it away?
