MIJ Exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

New here. I currently drive a modified Vectra C SRi. I have just sold this as I have decided I need a vRS Octavia in my life!

I'm picking up a 2.0T FSI on Thursday, my first mod will be an exhaust. I've done a bit of reading about different systems available for the vRS and have decided to go down the custom route. My Vec was running an MIJ exhaust which I was very impressed with.

I'm wanting to achieve about 250 bhp. What size bore is recommend with this future power planned? I'm going for cat back to start with. Sports cat and downpipe will follow in the future when the time comes to map it.

Thanks for any info guys.

Go and buy a BCS exhaust or a Milltek. Don't waste your money as you will regret it. Been there before.

I agree with W8!!

If it helps, and you fancy a drive up to Manchester we are offering some nice tuning packages that Stage 1 will include an APR Remap, Miltlek cat-back and Neuspeed air intake :D

Awesome Mike

Can't offer any assistance as to the bore size Stu but I also came from the Vec-C club. I had a 2.8T Signum so welcome to the fold.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Mike, I will contact yourself regarding prices. The package you mention sounds right up my street. Heard good things about AWESOME GTI. I'm currently looking for excuses to drive my new car!

Howard, I recognise your username from Vectra-C forum. Your Signum was stunning! How do you find the vRS after the Signum?

Hi Stu, Thanks for the praise of the Signum. She was lovely, just so expensive to run. Its like going back to basics from the Signum to the vRS MK1. The Siggy was so smooth and had effortless power she was mapped to 280bhp and really shifted for a big old lump. But you really knew you were in a big car if you know what I mean. The vRS feels a lot more nimble but is 3 years older and has covered a lot more miles but still enjoyable. I miss the Siggy big time but I'm still happy with the vRS and its a lot cheaper to run too.

Good luck with your new motor mate. Hope you settle in well. There are some great people on this forum with lovely cars who will give you plenty of ways to spend your money lol.

Cheers

H
