Indicators don't flash while locking doors.

Featured Replies

As title, when I open the doors the indicators flash but when I press close they don't, not sure if they ever flashed as I have had water Ingres. So is there a fix for this?

Thanks Marc.

are all the doors shut and the boot and bonnet

This can be configured using a diagnostics lead with VCDS. I've set mine to flash on opening and closing, but only to chirp on closing, for example.

Go around all the doors and boot lid and check to see if they can been seen opening and closing on the Maxidot display,

as the last post... and also listen to each door when you press the remote button to lock. Can you hear that extra deadlock sound? Failure to flash/chirp on locking (when it's set to do so) is an indicator something isn't locking as it should.

I had this. Was the bonnet not quite shut.

Thanks for the replies, I do have a fault with the drivers door m& rear passenger doors not working properly & I think it's down to water ingress, I'll get it looked @.

The fault could well be with the door lock units themselves - not water ingress. That's been the case for me.

A note of caution - if it is the door locks, more specifically the solenoids, then you may find the door starts to not always unlock. This gets a bit more frequent, until one day it won't open at all. Not an easy job then I believe - got mine fixed before that point.

1 door doesn't work @ all & the drivers sometimes opens & sometimes close's. I'll get it checked out when I'm back home as I'm working away. Thanks again.
