Slight weap from fabia vrs intercooler pipe join?

Featured Replies

Hello I removed the engine cover and noticed what maybe a droplet at the joint that sits behind the actuator I wiped it clean and intend checking it again tomorrow. Now this is a new experience for me as never had a turbo diesel has anyone had this before

So does it look like there is oil leaking out from around the boost pipe connecting to the turbo? I'm assuming it's a vrs you have.. If so, it's fairly common, you can get replacement seals that go on the end of the pipes.

Id say your right its the boost pipe off the turbo and it looked like oil but its a solid cast pipe that leads to a rubber section then to the intercooler. Do the intercoolers have a drain plug as some are known to oil up. Will this affect performance because I haven't noticed any difference at all!! Only spotted it because I was fitting a strut brace

last service I got the garage said it was normal for the age/miles of my car
