Sound Proofing

Featured Replies

Folks,

Has anyone further sound proofed the inside of their Fabia? After being in my mates MK4 Golf and then my Fabia the difference is day and nightm the Fabia is seems so loud and naff inside.

I'm guessing that sound proofing would give it that more 'quality' silence and feel?

Thanks

I put a small amount of Dynamat sound proofing to my front doors and boot (ie the spare wheel well) of my mk4 Golf, and it made a massive difference to road noise, wind noise, and even exhaust noise.

I'd guess you'd get the same results from doing the same to the Fabia.

If it were me, I'd apply extra sound proofing to the front doors, maybe also in the footwells / firewall to dampen out the diesel engine noise from entering the cabin.

You need to strike a balance though, dynamat or any quality sound proofing is expensive and quite heavy, so need to use it wisely
