Drivers door lock not sensing door open

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

hope you can help me.

Drivers door lock not sensing whether the door has been opened or not.

Replaced the whole unit with a used one from the local breakers as the the dealer wants £140+ vat for a new one and its still the same.

Done the water ingress a little while ago and done the nodes ns and os of the car that I could find at the same time.

Although the lock sensing failed to work some time before that.

Have had the Interior out, its a bit damp on the drivers side but not excessive what with all that rain that we have had.

So does anyone have any thoughts?

Have I replaced the lock with another faulty part or does it need coding to the car?

Is it the comms unit although all lights puddle lights etc work ok.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks JGT
