2.0tfsi unable to delete fault codes

Featured Replies

Hiya to all I'm completely new to this forum have viewed for years decided to join as I desperately need advice, ok here it goes. I have a Skoda Octavia vrs 2.0tfsi BWA engine I had a fault coming up that was the Low pressure fuel sensor on the HPFP so I changed it in doing so I had to disconnect maf and airbox as well as unplug high pressure fuel sensor and turn engine on for 10 seconds and allow fuel to drop in pressure. while I was swapping the sensor out I also changed the cam follower (condition was ok only lightly grazed) I also changed dv to rev d as a precaution as i had diaphram type and know they fail, anyway deleted all engine codes with Autel 405 fault code reader unfortunately P0100 code had came up and wouldn't delete, I have now cleaned maf changed air filter, changed fuel filter, changed spark plugs to ngk platinum and I am still unable t delete the code, other codes appearing now are 08584 (no dtc definitions) 01314 (sporadic) P0172 cylinder bank one too rich, and also the P0100 MAF or VAF a circuit malfunction, every code bar P0100 and 01314 will delete, car still pulls like a train although I hadn't had the car long when the fuel pressure fault developed, also the car takes a wee while to start on first start up, first crank everytime but just sounds sputtery, forgot to say i have ran bg44k fuel cleaner through it after I couldn't delete codes, also car is 2006 and has 102000 miles on it, any help would be much appreciated

You need someone with VCDS , normal can-bus readers will usually clear most codes, but soem of the codes are from specfic modules which the reader will not clear . I have an Autel 509 , it will clear most , but things like the airbag fault ( common one with the poor connector ) , even though i did the fix , the 509 would not clear it , it needed VCDS. A local vw/audi/skoda tuner should be able to sort it out. Or a member with vcds could help you out. Or If you plan to do more maintance , invest in VCDS ...it's expensive but worth it in the long run. Hope this helps. Note that if after you clear the codes , they keep coming back , their might be an actual fault. Also are you sure your does not have a remap ?
