When i boot it and have the accelerator all the way to the floor, quickly take my foot off and press the clutch to change gear, The revs climb abit as if its auto bliping but on upshifts? is this just a characteristic of drive by throttle? Anyone else notice this? its really quite annoying because it makes you look like abit of a numpty when your overtaking stuff

You sure you havent just got your timing off a little, i know what you mean though.

Mine doesnt do this. It could be your throttle body needs aligning or is slightly sticking and not reacting quickly.

Ah never thought of that. Is there a way to align it without VAGcom?

I have been told it should self align by turning the ignition on but not starting the engine. Leave it for 45 seconds without touching anything and it will have realigned itself.
