Manifold codes

Featured Replies

Cars started stuttering a bit over past few days so took it to the local garage and 2 codes came up

17568 - Manifold temp sensor (G72)short to ground P1160 intermittent

and

17564 - manifold pressure sensor (G71) open short to ground P1156 intermittent

cars in limp mode now majority of the time

Anyone had the same problem?

easy to replace sensors?

I would first be looking to see if those sensors have a common +supply to them. Both showing short to ground may mean they have no postive supply voltage to them. Perhaps a relay or a wiring break is causing this.

I would not start by replacing sensors. I would start by getting a wiring diagram to see what is in common!

A visit to erWin for your car may save you a bunch: https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/

You've not said specifically what car, year or model but on some models the manifold temperature and pessure sensor are in one unit on the manifold.
