15 inch steel wheels usable?

Featured Replies

This time last year I had a MK 2 Octavia and I bought a new set of steel wheels with winter tyres. I've since traded it in for a Superb and suspect they won't physically fit.

They are 5 J x 15 112 PCD ET 47 and I believe the Superb would want 7 J x 16 PCD 112 ET 45 (tho I may have the offsets the other way round).

Given the identical PCD and close enough offset will the 15" rims physically fit over the brakes?

Failing that, wanna buy some Octy winter steelies? :)

I'd doubt. Have 16" steel wheels and everything seems rather tight :notme:

No 16’s are the smallest that will go over the front brakes.

I have seen some info in Elsawin, showing that the 1.4 TSI has a smaller, 15", brake system on both axes. This means that the 15" wheels may fit on a 1.4 TSI. Al the other models definitely need 16", except for the 3.6, which needs 17".

Thanks all. Looks like I need to sell em. Sod's Law says they won't fit my wife's Fabia either (wrong PCD).

I recently bought a set of 16" steels brand new off eBay for £189.99 delivered. Bargin I though.
