A remap is possible - won't necessarily increase bhp that much, but could remove flat spots and that.

Induction and exhaust can be changed for stuff less restrictive - again, relatively small bhp gains, but it'll allow the engine to work better.

Race cams are an option - not especially expensive, but can see better gains in bhp. Can change the way the car drives, which might turn out to be a bad thing...

Then there's all the expensive stuff like polished engine internals and that.

Probably someone out there will do a supercharger/turbocharger kit for the engine, but again will be relatively expensive...

Other option is to put the car on a diet and remove any unwanted trim/seats

probably best to save the money you are looking at spending towards a faster model for the future, be better and cheaper in the long run
