Pretty new to vag. Got a scanner to read engine, abs, srs and cluster but wondering what I would need to buy to read the codes out of air con?

If it's climatronic, then you can get the codes out without a scanner (see http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/209451-climatronic-self-diagnose-mode/ ).

If it's not, then there will be no codes to read.
