Random flat battery?

Featured Replies

Me car nearly didn't start yesturday n today wouldn't as battery was flat.. Only thing I've done is fit new halogen gas bulbs and a sub n amp . Sub and amp been in weeks bulbs only a couple of days..

Is there a common problem or do they not take well to bulbs of kind

Might be a simple silly question, but you do have your amp wired up correctly to the remote switch off your HU yes?

Get a multimeter across the battery to test it is your best bet fella...

My guess, you have not done a a remote cable with the sub so now it does not turn off....

Yeah it has the remote cable to the blue/white wire which assuming is the remote wire

Yeah that sounds like the correct one. Check your amp actually powers down when you remove the key from the ignition.

Other than this get a multimeter on there and check both the battery & alternator.

I would put a switch on the amp and sub just to be safe.

I had a problem with random flat batteries , and the cause was a faulty brake light switch . The faulty switch would randomly turn the brake lights on ,and the problem was worse in winter . A new switch cost £10 so well worth trying before replacing other more expensive parts.

Also - Do you have any lights on your AMP? When you pull the key out does the light go off? If it stays on you are going to need a switch.
