Hi all, I know there is already a lot of information about wheels but I'm struggling to find the basics. I'm going to order alloy wheels and winter tyres for my new octavia. It has 16" wheels at the moment and I'm happy with that size. Can someone please tell me what offset I need with 6.50 x 16 wheels please so I can order them. Thanks.

OEM 16" 6.5J wheels are ET50. Around ET50 is ideal if you might want to use snow chains too. You can go lower offset if not.

Thanks mate, I don't think my wife would go anywhere if she had to fit snow chains. She works 50 miles from home so winter tyres are hopefully the best way to get her back if the weather turns bad. She not bothered if she can't get in.
