Hi everyone abit new to skodas, ive got a problem with my mk1 octavia vrs the speedo stopped working, the lads at skoda say the problem is a cog inside the gearbox that turns the vehicle speed sensor, but the only option is a new gearbox??

Abit of advice would be welcome :(

I'd like to check a new sensor for output with an oscilloscope before I'd go doing something as radical as that...

Already checked mate its the part inside the gearbox that turns that sensor thats come off,,

you'll can easily get a decent s/h gearbox for £200 - only thing then to sort is fitting

Does anyone no anyone hu might a EHA gearbox??
