brake conversion help required

Featured Replies

hi guys,im looking into upgrading my brakes to the golf r32 brakes and im just wondering what will i nned to do this is,is it as simple as changing the calipars disc and pads?

Mk4 r32? I looked at doing this and youl need spacers to make sure the wheel clears the calliper

Personally I'd look to put 312mm MK4 Golf GTi brakes on the front and see if the 288mm front vented discs could be swapped to the back, may need a smaller solid disc for a straight swap. With some decent pads would be a good improvement on the standard setup.

I've been told that you can't put the front brakes on the back because they don't have a hand brake on them attachment,I was thiking about using the mk5 r32 312mm,will the carrier housing need changing though?

Mk5 have a diffrent hub size (i think) has to be off the mk4 platform i belive

Mk4 golf is the ones you need.

you could maybe wait a month and I might know someone selling an awesome set of Tarox 6 pots for about the same money as a R32 twinpot set.....
