Featured Replies

Hai guys i own an mk1 octavia vrs which is lowered using KW springs 50mm@front and 30mm@back..

Recently aquired a mk6 VW polo 1.6 tdi for my daily use.

Am planning on upgrading to coilovers for ma octavia and i just dont want to throw away the springs on them.once when i went to VW service happend to see a polo spring which according to my observation is the same as the octavia's.Didnt have this plan then....

I also have an 22mm eibach farb waiting ma polo...so coupled with kw spring the car is going to be excellent to corner if the plan works out.

SO IS THERE ANY WAY OF FITTING THEM IN POLO???

PLS HELP

yes it will fit, in the same way an elephant will fit in a bus if you try hard enough! Anything can be made to fit, but the cars are very different weights, so the spring rates will be different on the octavia spring, to sum it up...they are not meant for the polo! So sell the springs on here or ebay, and buy yourself some proper springs for the polo.

 - Technically, I couldn't have put it better myself, but I'd not have been even half as funny.

Lol

C'mon, is this for real ??

I'm a plank at the best of times, but even I would be able work out that a polo spring ain't gonna happen

I say do it. It'll look hilarious, if nothing else. Like the bloke I knew who fitted Nova Sri suspension to his little 1.0 Nova. Sat about 30 foot off the ground with unsafe and quite ridiculous positive camber. He actually drove it for a year, and swore it handled brilliantly. Yikes.

I was just waiting for the hubs to snap off it myself, but then he drove slower than my dead grandmother anyway...

Honestly, you could almost fit your head in the gap between front wheels and arches. Clown car to the extreme.

thanks you!:>....well it does worry me somewhat that someone would ask this, i felt the elephant analogy would help!
