And WOW what a difference, I am having trouble putting the keys down, again!! The car sits really level allround, it looks fantastic and drives even better! I do keep slamming my foot into the ground as I get out though. Pics up soon.

Work done by JWR Services in Salisbury, very reasonably priced (about £25 a corner ex-VAT) and a great standard of workmanship. They looked after my Leon and I was always impressed with their knowledge, approach and the work done, and it's the same with the Octy. Whilst fitting the back springs they found both left and right wishbone bolts were loose, the right to the point of the nut just spinning in the guys fingers...

I'd mentioned the occasional knocking noise but been lead to believe it was probably the VAG common sticking pads!! So job done!

And so to my next question.

Who does the best remap for the CR 170 lump?

I've seen Shark comments all over here, but also been told that Revo are good?

Anything I should know?

Apologies if its been done to death on here before, but I want to do it once and do it right.

Is there a possibility for a survey of remaps here on the forum? i.e. who, what gains (and did the gain meet the claim!), mpg post remap, problems, insurance and so on.

May help me and others in the future.

People will post their personal view and experience on this one so its important to try to get an opinion from people that have run different remaps, ideally on the same car. Im a big supporter of Shark but I wont bore you with all the details but I believe their maps to be the best and quoted gains most realistic. Period.

Oh and Ive run multiple, Shark Performance (x2), Revo (x lots!), Superchips Bluefin, JabbaSport (x2), Celtic maps previously.

It's winter and a wash is desperately needed, even though it was only washed... Oh yeah last weekend.
