just to check, do you mean for a mk1 or a mk2 as per your sig? the octavia mk1 needs shallow speakers fitting, due to the door behind the card, or you will need to cut and mod the door itself accordingly.

We have both the MK1 Octavia and MK2. This is for the Mk1 Octavia, will be upgrading the MK2 Octavia speakers in the near future too.

some fit some don't paul, i had mb quarts that fitted but they were a 'shallow fit' speaker by design

oh, blo*dy good question that...can't remember, think i sold them to kentphil, he should be able to tell you!i do like mb quarts, my mk2 golf has them, the old school german made stuff though, not the later chinese made stuff!

where the headunit is concerned buy once buy alpine there the best on the market in my opinion .... where door speakers are concerned i have a set of Eton RS160s theyre brilliant the build is spot on and they sound fantastic however they are only available in europe not the uk ... but as said above focal are really good for shallow speakers .. will you be sound deadening your doors whilst your fitting the new speakers ? if so have a look in my gallery for some pics of what ive done

I don't like the tweeters on most modern units. Especially spitty horrible metal domes. I find myself have to put an L-pad in or redesigning the crossover to suit.

I just wish I could fit the drivers of my Mission components in my flipping doors! Currently I'm running the standard crap out of protest!
