Has anybody used these, and if so is the quality ok?

Other suggestions welcome.....

If I am correct in assuming you are awaiting a VRS to be delivered from teh factory, it comes with carpet mats as standard so no need to worry, personally I have a set of rubber mats for the winter which were part of teh deal when I bought my car but if you have to apy for them then they are only about £20.

Personally, having bought numerous after market mats they have never come up to the standard of OEM mats, and occasionally the OEM mats were cheaper anyway.

My car had aftermarket rubber mats in it, which didn't hook to the plastic mounts in the carpet properly. This, along with the fact that they were too soft and flobbery, meant that they didn't stay put in the footwell at all. I went back to the dealer and got a set of original mats which are made from stiffer rubber. This makes them sit properly in the footwell, but they still don't clip to the pegs in the carpet properly.

Anyone else have this problem?

In my experience the standard mats doesnt last that long, I've driven 2500km with my car and I can clearly see a hole forming in the mat just where my heel is usually. So I went a head and phoned my supplier for custom mats (I use them at my company for custom interiors) asking if they can do a better job. Now I am a proud and happy owner of a custom set (black, with red stiches). It's a bit thicker that original, also the bottom side is the same as rear mats (not smooth and much, much stronger). A bit costly - full set for 60eur, but in my view well worth it. Now I'm just wondering if I should get another set with vRS logos on it

You can never have too many vRS logos in the car ;)

Yes my rubber ones can be like that occasionally but they are still better than generic rubber mats

So take them back to the dealer, if tehy came with the car they are covered by the 3 year warranty so get a replacement set for free, and keep doing it for the 3 years, thats what I do.

4 years for me, so even better. I guess I will add it to the yearly service list :)

Rubber OEM set for the Winter in my vRS as well, much easier to keep clean and you don't worry so much about stepping in the car, with all the crud about in the Winter.

My rubber mats are fine and where only £26 from the dealer, my carpet mats didnt last long hole started appearing, i did buy these for the summer

Hopefully you didn't get them from there - they're the same as the ones I got and only £39 from your local friendly dealer (which is £4 less than you'd pay using that link)

I've had the same problem with heel hole in the OEM carpet mats (unfortuantely not originally on the car), but the rubber ones are fine so far.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a single drivers mat; something I'm considering for the summer. The other three are perfectly fine, so seems a waste to get a whole new set, though the £39 price tag isn't exactly prohibitive.
