I has Fabia :-)

Featured Replies

I've owned an Octavia VRS for the last 5 years and now my Girlfried and I have bought a house together, we don't need so many cars, meaning we are selling her Audi A3 and the plan was to just keep the Octavia. Trouble is she's not totally keen on driving the Octavia. Gutted :(. So I saw a Fabia vrs for sale here on Briskoda at a reasonable price and decided to take a look. Anyway, it was really nice and has been very well looked after so I buyed it

Here it is:

It's done 91000 miles, fsh, Forge FMIC, miltek exhaust with decat and a remap. Apart from the standard laquer peel on the spoiler, the bodywork is immaculate, can't even find a tiny parking ding or anything. Drives really nice too so happy girlfriend now.

Nice one, Haydn! Nice VRS plate to boot. Looks nice n tidy. Any plans or keep it as is?

nice condition by the looks. whos was it before i cant say i have seen it before. some subtle lows wouldnt go a miss though ;)

Mostly just gonna keep it tidy. It's plenty quick enough with what it already has so no further tuning planned. I quite fancy getting the wheels powered coated white though.

Bought it from Briskoda member jdamarine. He'd owned it for the last four years, don't know who'd had it before. It won't be going any lower, the suspension was one of my girlfriend's gripes with the Octavia, she kept babbling about shopping bouncing around the boot when going over speed bumps :giggle:

 Sounds like a good plan.

How's the gearbox whine?

Was gonna take a trip to Sheffield and view it, seemed a really nice lad too :)

Also a good tidy looking car mate!

Gearbox whine is nothing to worry about, the guy was just being really honest about the car. I had to really listen out for it and I've only heard it occasionally when coming off the clutch so I reckon it's just the release bearing. Either way, the car came with a spare gearbox just in case

what became of brisk-rover??

Still got the Brisk Rover, that's staying, need it for the motorsport. It took a battering on last friday's road rally though, lower engine mount is hanging off, we had substantial water ingress via the gearstick (literally a fountain :giggle: ) and we spent a lot of the evening on about 1 and a half cylinders after soaking the electrics. Still finished 2nd overall though  .

It's gone into the garage for maintenance now as next event for it will be giving passenger rides on an autosolo at the Autosport show in January

one and a half cylinders is good :-D makes it sound like a v8.. i've been thinking about doing some autosolo or trials

that's what i thought,n why i asked if it was from sheffield,i have the boot build from it lol. .
