I decided to replace my oem 4200kv bulbs with some 6000kv ones. To do this I decided to remove the headlights, which involves bumper removal. It wasn't too bad. About an hour all in. Result

Easy enough, done it myself. Doing it soon once more as the headlight output is too low, so will install some new bulbs. Just trying to decide osram silverstar or philips 85122. Not doing 6000k as this will be even dimmer. How did you find the change in output?

I have a pair of 85122's now sitting in my garage..... maybe part payment for the work next week Alex? We could do your lights at the same time..... Haven't tried the lights at night yet. Will update when I do.

Is it easy to do then. Want new bulbs in mine as they don't look as white as I'd like.

4 screws in each wheelarch, 3 dzus fasteners holding the undertray to the bumper and 3 screws in the top of the bumper under the bonnet. Then 4 screws each on the lights plus a large one on a bracket below the light. There are some good write ups on the 'net regarding the method
