Help with model decision?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was going to buy a VW up, but since seeing the elegance especially with the rapid gear knob and steering wheel I'm almost certain I'll get a skoda Citigo.

I think I'll go for the elegance trim in 3 door. I usually carry a bike on my car roof rack but as its 200hp I don't really notice it, will I get away with 2 bikes on the roof on a Citigo and still reach motor way speed in the 60hp version?

Also I will need to turn the airbag off for a baby seat is the only way to pay £180 for the emergency brake system? Seems a bit cheeky from skoda

IMO, having 2 bikes on the roof shouldn't be a problem, I don't know if anyone on here has tried a bike rack yet. I tried this method for one bike:

Airbag switch-off is only available with city-safe. I think it's a bit of a shame that the airbag switch-off isn't fitted to all cars as standard anyway, but hey-ho.

I wonder if this would scratch the paint, are there any members who have a bike rack and can supply some photos or do a review?

That one looks good, keeps the lights un-obstructed and holds the edge of the tailgate. Some strategically placed sponge tape will prevent paint damage I would think.

I think a roof rack must be the way to go I can't be bothered to take both wheels off each time I want to go out on the bike.
