5* EuroNCAP for Rapid

Featured Replies

Wish I'd learnt Czech at school

Skoda has come a long way since the first 'Rapide' model (with an 'E') many years ago, which fell to bits with rust, compared to todays 'Rapid'

As many a young driver of today doesn't know of it's very early predecessor, when 'Skoda' was 'Skoda' and not part of 'VW'.

Don't get the idea of renaming an 'Octavia' or 'Superb' as a 'Rapid' doesn't fool anyone. LOL

you mean the old air cooled rear engined one

which started all the jokes about the rear screen heater being a hand warmer when you were pushing it?

and the fact you needed a bag of cement or something of similar weight in the front boot or it would understeer bady due to lack of weight over the front wheels

i will shuffle off into the corner with my zimmer frame after showing my age :(
