Electric Problem with Suberb TDI 2005

Featured Replies

Hello all

I have a problem with the electrics on a Suberb 1 in the last few days.

It seems to be mainly concerned with the radio.

The backlight on the radio initially just started to flash a couple of times.

Then the display for the radio on the dash went off. When this is off:

1) The radio controls on the steering wheel stop working

2) The cruise control will not work. (this is what I really miss)

Every 24 hours, the electrics seem to get disconnected from the battery (for a second) and this causes the clock to reset.

Once, when I was driving, the warning lights came on for the two doors on the drivers side (RHS)

Any ideas ?

Problem with Comfort Control Module?

Poor connection on a cable somewhere?

By the way, the electrics sometimes comes back to normal generally for the first 10 minutes or so.

And the radio sound works perfectly all of the time - its just the lights around it.

The Cruise control works when the radio display light on the dash comes back on, but that may only happen for a few seconds.

CD player (from a magasine in boot) also works fine.
