Passanger window switch failed after moisture

Featured Replies

Left my passenger window opened under rain, the water entered also on the switch. The switch now is working with glitches up and no down at all. Is there any easy way to get to the switch and wipe and dry it? All the how to's are for fabia 1 which is very easy.

You can carefully prise it out of the door panel, take it apart and clean/lubricate the contacts.

Thanks for the reply! Can you describe in details how or what tool to use?

I've used a rigid metal scraper in the past, a blunt table knife may do, slid between the switch and the door panel along the edge of the switch that is towards the rear of the car, then give it a gentle twist and the switch should pop up along that edge. Then it's a case of splitting the switch to disassemble it.
